  • The large open family kitchen / dining room gives back and front views. Units all newly fitted with granite worktop housing a gas cooker, dishwasher, fridge and microwave. Large dining table.
  • Utility room at the back door for coat hanging and muddy boots.
  • Separate lounge / "snug" to relax with music / TV and up to date DVD movies.
  • Bedding, small guest towels & toiletries, should you forget something.
  • A surprise suitcase of toys awaits younger guests to enjoy.

Hayfield and the surrounding Peak District boast fantastic walking country, and are on the doorstep of Kinder Scout, the highest hill in Derbyshire situated on the famous "Pennine Way". The village itself has all amenities to ensure an enjoyable stress free holiday with food shops, a chemist, Post Office, lots of good pubs and several excellent eating establishments. There is plenty to do besides totally relaxing in our wonderful Peak District.

  • Cycle hire (exceptional mountain bike trails), horse riding, the Sett Valley Trail, children’s play ground, the central hub cricket pitch and its very own beer festival! - All in the village itself.
  • Only 10 miles from Buxton, famous for its natural water source along with the Opera House, Cavendish shopping arcade and Pavilion Gardens.
  • 20 minute drive to Castleton with the Blue John and Treak Cliff Caverns.
  • The city of Manchester is only 18 miles away and Sheffield 30 miles.
  • The historic Chatsworth House is also close by which necessitates a visit with wonderful gardens, farm shop and house tours.
  • The country houses of Keddleston Hall, Gawsworth, Sudbury Hall, Haddon Hall, Eyam Hall.

Prices are inclusive of bedding, towels, electricity and heating.

Normal weekly linen changes are every Friday and are included in the hire charge. We provide a small guest towel per bed but please bring your own bath towels. If extra bedding changes are requested during the week, then a laundry charge of £40 will be made.

Sorry but no pets are allowed and we also ask our guests to refrain from smoking inside the house. Short breaks by arrangement and are not normally available in high season weeks. Four nights must start on a Monday; three nights must start on a Friday. The price for either of the 3 or 4 night stays is 70% of the full week cost.

The house sleeps 8 people maximum. Babies arriving in their own cots will be charged at £20 each per stay.
